Invoice paid but service pending

Symptoms

  • The invoice shows as paid, but the service still says pending or is not active.
  • The website, email or server is not available after payment.
  • You paid twice, or the payment shows at the bank but not in the Client Area.

Common causes

  • Payment processing has not finished, which can take a short time.
  • The payment was applied to a different invoice or account.
  • The service needs a setup step before it becomes active.
  • The payment failed after the bank confirmed it, or was refunded.

Safe initial checks

  1. Check the invoice status in the Client Area. See Invoices and payments.
  2. Check the service status in the same account. See Order status and activation.
  3. Keep the payment receipt, including the transaction reference.

Do not pay the same invoice again until you have checked the status.

Step-by-step solutions

  1. Processing delay. Wait for the time shown in Order status and activation, then check again.
  2. Applied to the wrong invoice. Ask support to move the payment to the correct invoice.
  3. Setup step required. Complete any setup task shown in the Client Area, such as verifying a domain or confirming details.
  4. Payment failed. Check with your bank or payment method, and retry only after the invoice shows as unpaid.

How to confirm the issue is fixed

  • The service shows as active in the Client Area.
  • The website, email or server responds as expected.

When to contact support

Contact support if the payment is confirmed by your bank, and the service remains pending after the normal activation time.

Information to include in a support ticket

  • The invoice number, the service name, and the payment date.
  • The transaction reference from your bank or payment method.
