Hosting suspended
Symptoms
- The site shows a suspension page, or does not open at all.
- You cannot log in to the hosting panel, or the panel shows a notice about the account status.
- Email and other services stopped on the same account at the same time.
Common causes
- An invoice for the hosting service is unpaid, or past its due date.
- The service expired and was not renewed.
- The account was suspended for a policy or abuse reason, or to protect other customers.
- Resource limits were exceeded for a long period.
Safe initial checks
- Sign in to the Client Area and open the service status.
- Check your invoices for an unpaid or overdue item. See Invoices and payments.
- Check the renewal date of the service. See Renewals.
- Read any notice email from support. Do not click links in unexpected messages. Check the sender against the support address on the official site.
Step-by-step solutions
- Unpaid invoice. Pay the invoice in the Client Area. Activation can take a short time after payment. See Order status and activation.
- Expired service. Renew the service. See Renewals.
- Resource limit. Read Resource limit reached, and reduce usage or upgrade the plan.
- Policy or abuse suspension. Contact support, and do not reactivate anything until support confirms the account is clear.
How to confirm the issue is fixed
- The status in the Client Area shows the service as active.
- The site and the hosting panel open again.
When to contact support
Contact support if the invoice is paid, the service is renewed, and the account is still suspended after a reasonable wait.
Information to include in a support ticket
- Your account email and the service name.
- The invoice number, and the date you paid.
- The exact suspension message.
