Secure panel access and login keys
Protect the Hosting Panel separately from your Client Area and mailbox accounts. Use individual access and the smallest permission scope.
Before you begin
Use the APNCloud Hosting Panel. The tools available to you depend on account permissions and the plan. If an option is missing, ask support whether your service includes it.
Steps
- Open Two-Step Authentication if enabled. Enrol your authenticator and save recovery information privately. Confirm a successful sign-in before ending your existing session.
- For automation, use Login Keys if enabled rather than sharing the main panel password. A login key is not an SSH key.
- Restrict each key to the required commands, source addresses and expiry where the form supports these limits. Do not grant every command by default.
- Store keys in the automation service’s secret store. Never place them in a repository, URL, screenshot or support ticket.
- Test the permitted action and verify that an unrelated action is denied. Revoke unused keys promptly.
- If access is lost, contact APNCloud Support through verified channels for recovery. Do not disable protections simply to make an integration work.
Check the result
Test the intended task and unrelated website and email functions. If a tool is missing or the result is unexpected, keep the error and time and contact support instead of guessing server-wide settings.
