Install and manage applications safely
The application installer and WordPress Manager simplify common tasks. Availability does not remove the need for backups, supported versions and secure configuration.
Before you begin
Use the APNCloud Hosting Panel. The tools available to you depend on account permissions and the plan. If an option is missing, ask support whether your service includes it.
Steps
- Open the application installer or WordPress Manager available in your panel. Check the selected application’s current requirements and maintenance status.
- Select the correct domain, HTTPS address and installation folder. Stop if the destination contains an existing site; do not overwrite it.
- Choose a unique administrator name and password. Save credentials privately and use an email address you control.
- Test the installation and enable suitable updates. Test major updates and plugin compatibility on staging before production.
- Use cloning or staging only if your plan provides it. Review the destination database and URL; a staging copy may contain customer data and must be protected.
- Before uninstalling, identify whether the action removes files, database and backups. Keep an independent verified backup first.
Check the result
Test the intended task and unrelated website and email functions. If a tool is missing or the result is unexpected, keep the error and time and contact support instead of guessing server-wide settings.
