Create and manage mailboxes

This guide explains how to create a mailbox for your hosting domain, change its password, and understand the storage limit that applies to it.

Before you begin

  • An eligible hosting plan with email accounts. See Hosting email.
  • A signed-in Hosting and Reseller Panel. See Log in and find your way around.
  • A strong password ready. Use at least 12 characters and do not reuse one from another service.

Steps

Create a mailbox

  1. Open the Email Accounts section in the panel.
  2. Choose the domain you want the mailbox for.
  3. Choose the option to create a new email account.
  4. Enter the mailbox name, such as info for info@yourdomain.com, and set a strong password.
  5. Save the account.
  6. Send a test message from another address to the new mailbox, and check that it arrives.

Change a mailbox password

  1. Open the Email Accounts section and find the mailbox.
  2. Choose the option to change the password, enter the new password and save.
  3. Update the new password in every app and device that uses the mailbox.

Menu names can vary

Panel labels can change between versions. Look for the Email Accounts section and the create or password option for your domain.

Storage limits

Your plan can set a storage limit for each mailbox. When a mailbox is full, new mail can be refused or bounced back to the sender. Check the limit in the panel or ask support. Delete old messages or ask about a higher limit when you need more space.

Expected result

The mailbox appears in the Email Accounts list, and a test message arrives in it.

If something goes wrong

  • The mailbox does not appear. Check that you chose the correct domain, then refresh the page.
  • Mail is bounced with a full mailbox message. Free space or ask support about the storage limit.
  • Passwords do not work in an app. Update the password in the app and sign in again. See Hosting email troubleshooting for the sign-in checks.
