Keep Your APNCloud Account Secure
Your APNCloud Client Area holds information about your services, domains and payments. A few security measures can help prevent unauthorized access.
Protect your account
- Use a unique password. Choose a long password that you do not use on other websites. A password manager can help.
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA), if available. Open the account's security settings, follow the setup instructions and keep any recovery codes somewhere safe.
- Keep your email address current. Check your contact information so password resets and account notices reach you. See Update contact details and password.
- Review unexpected activity. If you receive an unfamiliar password reset, sign-in alert or service change notification, investigate it promptly.
- Limit account access. If user invitations or permissions are available, grant only the access each person needs. Remove access when it is no longer needed.
- Sign out on shared devices. Do not save your login details on public or shared computers.
If you suspect someone accessed your account
- Open the Client Area directly by typing account.apncloud.com into your browser.
- Change your password from a trusted device if you can still sign in.
- Review your contact details, services and recent account messages for unexpected changes.
- Report the issue to APNCloud Support. Include the time and description of any suspicious activity, but never your password or recovery codes.
